Cookware and Culinary Shops in Barcelona
In Barcelona
I invite you to discover the pastry and cooking equipment stores in Barcelona, a city where I always have a wonderful time
A city with a rich local culinary tradition, it offers excellent restaurants (you just need to know where to go and avoid the tourist traps), as well as more traditional pastry shops that, year after year, are increasingly inspired by French pastry.

Restor Home (pastry)
I’ll start with Restor Home, the best pastry shop in Barcelona, which is a bit out of the way but easily reachable by metro.
A very comprehensive catalog, worthy of French pastry shops, with even better prices.
Especially popular with professionals, the store is open to the public, and I always find interesting items there.

Passeig de Guayaquil, 39
Sant Andreu, 08030
Barcelona, Spain

Gadgets Cuina (cookware and pastry)
A conveniently located spot in the heart of Barcelona, next to the Ramblas, Gadgets Cuina.
A cozy, human-sized store, with tools and small equipment that can be interesting. I always make a stop there when I pass by the Ramblas!
Very welcoming staff

Carrer d'Aragó, 249
L'Eixample, 08007

Culinarium (cookware and pastry)
Another conveniently located spot, Culinarium. It’s a chain of stores, so you’ll find several locations in the city. The one I go to is near Gadgets Cuina.
A fairly large store, where you’ll find mostly kitchen equipment with some pastry items, baking tools, tableware, and cookware. They also have dishes (which I always find elegant, more colorful, and cheaper than in France).
Friendly staff

You can find tools specific to Spanish cooking there, like this croquette kit (I mentioned it in this recipe HERE), or this gas stand, perfect for paella pans.

Optimus (cookware)
A store that is more of a hardware shop than a kitchen store, but I sometimes stop by because they have a kitchen section that can offer good prices. There are several locations in the city.
Optimus
Carrer de Casanova, 174
Eixample, 08036
Barcelona, Spain

Casa Gay (cookware and pastry)
A well-stocked spot, Casa Gay. It’s a store with a large selection of tableware and presentation items, and a dedicated room for equipment, well stocked.
Casa Gay
Carrer de Roger de Llúria, 12 14, Local
L'Eixample
Barcelona, Spain

Next, you know how famously honest I can be, so I have to be honest about the service at this store. After visiting three years in a row, I don’t find the staff very friendly.
I keep going back because the equipment is of good quality.
